Remedy Youth Information

Youth Leader—Pastor Becca Helms    Phone: 951-927-6868 VM x104

“At that very time Jesus cured many who had diseases, sicknesses and evil spirits, and gave sight to many who were blind. ” (Luke 7:21)

PURPOSE: Our Purpose in Remedy Youth Ministries is to provide a cure to the crumbling world around us. In Luke 7, Jesus shows those questioning him that he is the One the whole world had been waiting for through miracles performed. But, he has not come to rule over a nation but instead he came to bring a cure both physically and spiritually and to rule over the hearts of all who believed in him.

PASSION: Our Passion is to put our faith in action like Jesus did in Luke 7. Our desire is to change our culture by our actions. We believe Jesus Christ is the Remedy our world is in desperate need of.

MISSION STATEMENT

The mission of the Royal Ranger ministry is to reach, teach and keep boys for Jesus Christ. The ministry was established for the purpose of evangelism and discipleship. Royal Ranger leaders view boys as vibrant members of the church. Boys are involved in activities that encourage them to grow and learn through ministry, missions, and leadership.

Royal Rangers seek to accomplish its mission by meeting boys’ needs and encouraging them to grow mentally, physically, spiritually, and socially. The ministry develops the whole person, using approaches and activities that are age-level and developmental-stage sensitive.

Activities include designed Bible study, encouraged church attendance, leadership opportunities, personal development programs, and mentoring relationships. All Royal Rangers are taught prayer, service, team work, and excellent citizenship skills.

MISSION STATEMENT

The mission of the Valle Vista Missionettes program has eternal value and is expressed in the fivefold purpose statement that follows:

  • Winning girls to Jesus Christ through love and acceptance.
  • Teaching girls to obey everything Jesus commanded us; helping girls to develop spiritually and mentally.
  • Providing encouragement, support and accountability through lasting Christian relationships.
  • Providing an environment for girls to develop their gifts and abilities.
  • Acquainting girls with the Great Commission of Jesus Christ our lord.

These purposes are accomplished through weekly fellowship meetings and frequent fun, experiential activities. Our mission is also accomplished through the role modeling of Godly coordinators and sponsors.

MISSION STATEMENT
“A MISSION FIELD IN DIAPERS”

Our Valle Vista Assembly nursery is committed to providing a safe and nurturing environment to promote healthy spiritual growth of the babies and families into the image and likeness of our Creator.

We are joyfully dedicated to teaching our babies and toddlers to love their God with all their hearts, souls, minds, and strength as they sit, walk, lie down, and get up. We promote the admonition of the Lord: “Impress them (these commandments) on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.”

Through this kind of love we pray that the babies and toddlers we serve in this ministry will come to know and rely upon God throughout their lives.

WELL CHILD POLICY

Here at Valle Vista Assembly of God we are doing our best to keep your kids healthy! With that in mind, we will not accept children who show signs of illness. We do our very best to prevent the spread of illness by asking all parents to be considerate in this regard. We are asking parents to keep children home if they are showing any of the following symptoms:

  • Runny Nose
  • Sneezing
  • Fever – an oral temperature over 101 degrees F
  • Diarrhea – unless related to antibiotics
  • Rash – except diaper rash, unless diaper rash is a result of diarrhea
  • Coughing – unless asthma is an issue
  • Vomiting

Please keep your child from entering the nursery until s/he is clear of all cold or flu symptoms for a minimum of 24 hours.

Please note that all children will be asked to wash their hands or use a hand disinfectant when they enter the classroom. This, along with our staff’s diligence, will ensure the well-being of all children in our care. Thank You for your support!

PARENT Co-Operative

The parent co-operative is a wonderful opportunity for you to participate in your child’s spiritual and social development. Your participation relays to your child the message that his/her Sunday/Wednesday class is important and enables those parents involved the opportunity to better reinforce spiritual principles within their home. Parent involvement in the “co-op” also enables our department to maintain low adult/child ratios, thus allowing us to give children individual attention. Involvement begins after regular attendance on Sunday mornings. You will be contacted regarding your participation in the Parent Co-Operative. When participating in the “co-op”, your sole responsibility is interacting with the children and assisting the teacher. All signing in/out, diapering, bathroom breaks, teaching preparation, and discipline issues are to be handled by the Nursery Staff.
